Sometimes relationships go through tough times. Perhaps right now is one of those times for you and your partner.

Most people who start couples therapy feel caught in the same pattern of communication issues and unable to move forward. Or they find themselves caught up in the busyness of life, neglecting their relationship.

Stuck in a distant, difficult season, you may feel like your relationship could be in trouble if you don’t get some support.

Do You Feel Stressed, Distant or Stuck In Your Relationship?

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You fight with each other more often than you would like

  • You struggle to communicate well with each other

  • You feel like you lack motivation to do much together any more

  • You’ve noticed that the spark in your relationship is fading

  • You have an insane schedule that interferes with quality time together

If these sound true for you and your partner, I want you to know that even if it feels like you don’t have time to devote to your relationship, couples I work with find that their relationship is worth the investment!

Couples Therapy Can Help You Improve Your Communication and Strengthen Your Relationship

It’s possible to feel better. Imagine a life where you could…

  • Feel more loving and connected in your relationship.

  • Communicate in ways that allow you to look forward to your time together

  • Shift into a more positive and hopeful outlook on your partnership

  • Rekindle the loving relationship you’ve had before with one another

Experience a Loving, Healthy Relationship

Couples therapy helps you rise above your challenges and start moving towards a life together with less distance and more connection.

You will get the strategies and skills you need to find your way through difficult feelings and situations and feel closer than ever before.

I’ve helped couples figure out what’s not working, how things got the way they are and how to repair and learn new ways of relating to one another. and rediscover what made them fall in love in the first place.

My name is Julie Myers and I am a couples counselor who is here to help.

How Couples Therapy Works

Couples therapy usually consists of 75 to 90 minute sessions that are scheduled at a consistent time weekly or every other week. Here’s how it works:

  1. First, I provide a safe space so that you both can share your concerns and goals with me.

  2. Through hearing your situation, I will start to get an idea of what your challenges and unhealthy patterns are.

  3. We will then address how you each partner has been affected by past experiences that perhaps cause distress in the relationship.

  4. Finally we’ll go to work learning and practicing the skills needed to make your relationship goals a reality.

Over the course of our sessions and with your cooperation and participation, you will make progress towards a healthier, loving relationship. For more information about the couples model Julie uses most often, go to this website: Relational Life Therapy
