Hi, I’m Julie!

Being a therapist is very meaningful to me. I have experienced my share of anxiety, shame, loss, broken relationships and difficulty being true to myself. I know what it’s like to want to feel alone in emotional struggles and want help in sorting out the past and current challenges.

A Little About Me…

For the past several years, I have enjoyed my second career as a counselor. I am a teacher at heart, as that was my first job before being a school administrator and counselor. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy reading, listening to podcasts and participating in the latest trainings and teachings and ideas for my work. Most of all, I love serving others and helping them heal and experience peace in their lives.

As for down time, I enjoy exercising, engaging fiction novels, knitting. sewing, watching crime shows and Thunder basketball. I always enjoy connecting with friends and delving into spiritual growth as well.

My Professional Background and Training…

In terms of my professional credentials, I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University. In 2010, I became a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and in 2011, a licensed alcohol & drug counselor (LADC).

My post-graduate trainings include Level One Internal Family Systems, Level One, ongoing training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and many other therapeutic models. I hold certifications in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). .
